What Raappraat does

Raappraat is a browser extension that reads post text on your professional feed, matches it against a keyword list you configure, and optionally rewrites matched posts using an AI provider of your choice.

Data we collect

None.

Raappraat does not collect, transmit, log, or store any personal data on any Raappraat-operated server — because there are no Raappraat-operated servers.

What is stored locally (on your device only)

Using the browser's built-in chrome.storage API, Raappraat stores the following data only on your own device:

• Your configured keyword list
• Your chosen AI provider, model, and API key (if you set one)
• A local count of posts filtered (your "brags silenced" stat)
• A local heatmap of which keywords triggered filters most often

This data never leaves your device to any Raappraat service. It may sync across your own devices via your browser's native sync (e.g. Chrome Sync), subject to Google's own privacy policy for that service.

AI rewriting — your key, your data

If you choose to enable AI rewriting, you supply your own API key from a provider of your choice (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, Groq, or a local Ollama instance). When a post is rewritten:

• The post text is sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider's API endpoint
• Raappraat acts as a pass-through only — it does not intercept, log, or store the text or the AI response
• Your API key is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to Raappraat
• Each post is cached locally after its first rewrite, so the same text is never sent to the AI API twice

Each AI provider has its own privacy policy. Raappraat is not responsible for how providers handle data you send to their APIs.

Permissions used — and why

• storage — saves your keyword list, AI settings, and local stats to your device
• tabs — opens the AI Settings page when you click "AI Rewriter" in the popup
• host_permissions (AI provider domains) — allows your browser to send rewrite requests directly to whichever AI provider you configured. No request is made unless you have set up an AI provider

Raappraat does not request access to your browsing history, cookies, bookmarks, or any data beyond what is described above.

Third-party services

Raappraat does not integrate with any analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking service. No third-party SDK or remote script is loaded by the extension.

Children

Raappraat is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from any user, child or adult.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and the new version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the extension after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
